Unisteer Tri-5 Power Rack&Pinion Kit (Chrome)8010400-02 Up for auction is a brand new Unisteer bolt in Power or Manual Rack & Pinion Kit for 1955-57 Chevy Cars. This kit consists of a uniquely customized Saginaw Power Rack & Pinion. This custom built rack is narrow enough to match the original steering. Geometrically this rack matches the stock steering so there is very little bump steer! The Rack and Pinion is a remanufactured unit of the highest quality that comes with a lifetime warranty. The basic kit consists of the Rack & Pinion unit, Outer Tie Rod Ends, Brackets, Mounting Hardware, and new Steering Arms. The driver side bracket mounts to the same three bolt pattern as the factory steering box and the passenger side bracket mounts to the two bolt pattern for the idler-arm. These brackets then hold the rack and pinion in the same plane as center link from the stock steering. Because of this change you will require a new 8.8" rear gear pinion bearing (Ford part# 9L3Z-4630-A) to install 8.8" gears in your 2010 or newer Mustang. Application.
