The Celestron Professional Biological Microscope 1500 has a binocular head with two eyepieces, one for each eye. The head also rotates 360° which allows comfortable viewing at any position, plus enables others to share the view without moving the microscope. The Celestron 1500 Biological Microscope has a built-in Halogen Lamp that provides a very bright and concentrated white light to illuminate a specimen. Controlling the amount of illumination are the microscope 's Abbe condenser and Iris Diaphragm. The Abbe condenser allows the user to concentrate the light cone and regulate the light, while the Iris Diaphragm adjusts the amount of light passing through the slide to optimize resolution, contrast, and sharpness. The stage a slide rests on is a large mechanical stage of 132mm x 140mm (5.2" x 5.5") and comes with stage clips.
