These Purple Cayenne Peppers are a spicy - hot heirloom variety that produces dozens of purple blossoms and 5 - 7-inch long, thin, dark purple fruits. The fruit begins as a bright red color and turns purple as it reaches maturity. This variety of pepper grows about 2 feet tall and makes a great ornamental plant, as well as tasty vegetable. We recommend planting these Heirloom Purple Cayenne Pepper seeds indoors 1″-2″ apart about 8-10 weeks before transplanting to 2-3″ pots after true leaves appear.
